Parodia scopa, also asked Silver Ball Cactus, it is a cactus. The "scopa " means "broom", as the name, it has sliver long spines. With a ball shape and a spiny woolly crown, the succulent plant grows offset and forms a white cactus mat. It can grow up to 20 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. The pale yellow flowers bloom in summer.

Sun/Location: The Parodia cactus is easily growing like most succulents. It is to be noted that the cactus plant is more sensitive to direct sunlight than the most succulent plant varieties.
Soil/Pot: Cactus soil mix is ideal for Parodia scopa, the well-drained soil allows excess water put out and protects the succulent plant from overwatering.
Watering: Silver Ball Cactus prefer more even water. Keep in mind succulents do not like to sit wet for a long time. The "Soak and dry" method is the best way of watering. Cutting back watering in winter.
